KansasDubbed "The Christmas City of the High Plains," WaKeeney, Kansas been celebrating Christmas in a big way since 1950. On the Saturday following Thanksgiving each year, Santa Claus flips a switch lighting up a wonderland of over three miles of electrical wiring, 2,000 perimeter lights, a 35-foot pine Christmas tree and 1,400 pounds of fresh greenery.
