I got into journalism because: I sort of fell into it. I am one of those people who is never satisfied knowing enough.
I went to Tampa for: Work. I was covering the Republican National Convention for NBC News and MSNBC.
The best way to travel here is: By car. If you come from the south you get to go over one of the coolest bridges in America, the Sunshine Skyway.
I stayed at: The Floridan hotel. A hotel that was not quite ready for the busy business travelers that descended upon the city.
When it comes to packing I always bring: Chargers for all my electronics. Lots and lots of chargers.
I wish I hadn’t: Stayed at a hotel that didn’t have 24-hour room service.
Next time I will definitely: Catch a Tampa Bay Rays baseball game.
Don’t miss: Ybor City. As a Miami native, I have always had a lot of respect for Tampa. It is a city with a soul, something most cities in Florida do not have.
