You may have seen Ryan on Travel Channel before. In fact, he got his first on-air gig with the network, filming a segment for America’s Scariest Haunted Houses. Ryan’s work as a travel journalist has provided him with an opportunity to shoot, edit and host short segments for TravelChannel.com. Since then, Ryan has worked as a producer on additional ventures and has appeared on Discovery Channel, National Geographic, Current TV, Men’s Journal’s Remote & Refined video series and other media outlets. Look for Ryan’s new show, Paradise Hunter, scheduled to air in fall 2013 on OLN in Canada.
Ryan’s love for travel started when he joined the Peace Corps and moved to Honduras. He says it was one of the most rewarding experiences in his life. At the end of his 2 years of service, Ryan decided to take the long way home. He biked 4,000 miles from Honduras to Boulder, CO, through hurricanes, dangerous cities and mountains -- meeting friendly strangers along the way. Ryan also saw the world from the seat of a bike on other adventurous journeys, including a trip from Maine to Key West and from Vancouver to Cabo.
Now you can see Ryan’s most recent journey by bike in our exclusive web series, Bike Tour of California Wineries. Watch Ryan hit less-traveled roads through beautiful Sonoma and Napa Valley to experience wine tastings at several wineries, including Arista Winery, Iron Horse Ranch and Winery and Lava Vine Winery. Get ready to hit the road with Duzer!
