A boy climbs on "The Great Horse Carousel" from 1890 during a media preview of "Fete Paradiso," which organizers are calling the world's first festival of vintage French carnival rides and carousels on Governor's Island in New York Harbor. The varied collection of artisan crafted museum-quality rare and antique carnival attractions from the late 19th and early 20th centuries come from the collections of Francis Staub and Regis Masclet and will be available to the public to ride and enjoy on Saturdays and Sundays from July 13 through September 29, 2013.
