The world's most eligible bachelor finally tied the knot. George Clooney married Amal Alamuddin at Hotel Aman, a historic hotel on Venice's iconic Canal Grande. This 16th-century palazzo, which was built on water, housed Venice's elite for centuries before it opened as a luxury hotel in 2013 (prices start at about $1,000 a night for a standard room). It's a mix of old and new — frescoes hang in some of the 24 guest rooms, but there's also a spa and fitness center. The most romantic part of staying here? Guests arrive via boat or gondola.

Built in 1925, the beautiful Episcopal Church was built in the English Gothic Revival style and boasts Tiffany stained-glass windows. The reception that followed was held in a 40,000-square-foot tent (to accommodate approximately 2,000 guests) at the Bear’s Club --an exclusive golfing (and gated) community in Jupiter, FL, where Jordan owns a home.
