Lambeau Field
Green Bay, Wisconsin
Lambeau Field, The home of the Green Bay Packers is one of the most beloved NFL stadiums of all time. The first game was played on Lambeau Field in 1957 and, while the stadium has had plenty of renovations over the years, it has maintained its classic charm. Gather with fans donning cheesehead hats in the original seating bowl. If you can't make it for a game, you can still dine on the same grub the players favor at the stadium's own Curly's Pub.
Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum
Oakland, California
The Oakland Raiders' home field may not be the fanciest stadium around, but the fans are some of the wildest in the NFL. Diehard Raiders fanatics dress up in garb fit for a death-metal concert, donning all black and sporting face paint. When pre-game tailgating is through, the Raider Nation moves its wild spirit inside the Black Hole (aka Sections 104 through 107), which is populated by the wildest football fans around.
Arrowhead Stadium
Kansas City, Missouri
On game day, Arrowhead Stadium, the home of the Kansas City Chiefs, is awash with red as fans dress the part to cheer on their home team. This 'Sea of Red' congregates outside on the parking lot for some notoriously tasty tailgating complete with barbecue feasts. If you're not traveling with your own grill or charcoal, crack a few cold ones in the parking lot and then head inside for a burnt-ends sandwich from the legendary Kansas City barbecue joint, Gates Bar-B-Q. A 2010 renovation inside of the field unveiled modern touches including wider concourses, more concession stands and additional restroom facilities, while maintaining the fiery spirit of the home of the Chiefs.
Cowboys Stadium
Dallas, Texas
The Cowboys Stadium lives up to the saying that everything is bigger and better in Texas. Opened in 2009, the Dallas Cowboys play in this high-tech wonderland spread out over 3 million square feet. It's the world's largest domed stadium and houses the single largest HD screen which is actually comprised of 4 screens for viewing pleasure suspended in the center of the stadium above the field to allow for ideal viewing pleasure from every seat. The screen weighs nearly 1.2 million pounds and is about the same size as nearly 5,000 52-inch television panels.
Heinz Field
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
Non-Steelers fans should beware the Terrible Towel at Heinz Field. There are sure to be thousands of reverent fans waving the iconic yellow terry-cloth towel, a tradition that dates back to the 1975 playoff games. Take a stroll along the Great Hall concourse on the stadium's east side, which is filled with sports memorabilia, including the old lockers of Steelers Hall of Famers and plenty of murals. There are 47 concession stands, but the lines are likely the longest at hometown favorite Primanti Brothers where the overstuffed sandwiches are topped with cole slaw and french fries.
