Travel's Best All-Inclusive Resorts 2015 Advisors
Meet the experts behind Travel's Best All-Inclusive Resorts 2015. Get to know the world travelers — including Anthony Melchiorri, hotel fixer on Hotel Impossible, and Kelsey Blodget, managing editor for Oyster.com — who came up with our list of some of the most luxurious resorts to unplug, relax and rejuvenate.
Anthony got his start in the industry as the director of front-office operations for the Plaza Hotel in New York. At age 29, he also developed the Lucerne Hotel into one of the city’s top-ranking accommodations. Seven years later, he and his team repositioned the Algonquin as a highly rated Michelin Guide hotel. Its owner went on to sell the property for a significant return on investment and asked Anthony to be senior vice president of the first Nickelodeon Suites Resort.
Today, Anthony runs his own company, Argeo Hospitality, consulting on hotel projects for private owners and investors. He currently resides in New York with his wife and 3 children.
Before founding SGEi, Shane worked for the Ritz-Carlton Hotel Co. He has a special affinity for the resort environment, where he has continued to collaborate with groups from all over the world. Shane specializes in working with modern luxury brands as they evolve to remain relevant for consumers and deliver desired experiences. His distinctive, multicultural background has informed the diverse and global thinking found within SGEi and the company’s global clients.
Shane received his bachelor’s degree in marketing and business psychology from the University of Canterbury in his native country, New Zealand.
