Adam Richman's quest for the greatest grub in the country brings him to the beautiful ocean side paradise known as Honolulu, Hawaii. His search begins at a sixty year-old Honolulu staple - Helena's Hawaiian Foods, THE place to indulge in traditional Hawaiian feasts. Adam learns an authentic family recipe for succulent pipikaula beef ribs and watches pork bundles steam in native Hawaiian plant leaves to form the famous lau lau dish. Next, Adam is on to Laie, a small town north of Honolulu, to try Hawaiian twists in a mainland classic: the hamburger. At the Hukilau Café Adam chows down on the signature Hukilau Burger, topped with eggs and Teriyaki beef, and then feasts on their award winning Loco Moco - two huge beef patties covered with fried eggs, rice, and smothered in gravy. But Adam better save room, because the monstrous Mac Daddy Pancake Challenge awaits him at MAC 24-7. He must devour four pounds of pancakes and toppings in under 90 minutes! If Adam finishes, he becomes a true Mac Daddy and will take his place on the restaurant's Winner's Wall. Does Adam have what it takes to defeat this tropical threat?
Adam Richman travels to Richmond, VA, for some all-American eats. He visits Buz and Ned's for the best barbecue in Richmond, Black Sheep for battleship size sandwiches and finally to Caliente for the Stupid Wings Challenge.
Adam is in Omaha, NE, to try the finest cuts from the cattle country, including a massive cold cut sandwich to a whisky-soaked steak. Then, Adam coaches a local DJ through 8 lbs. of pork and corn in the Pig Wing Challenge.
