New Shows on Travel Channel to Watch in December

Grab some 'nog and enjoy.

’Tis the season to gather around with family and friends and sip hot cocoa and eggnog in front of the television, right? Right.

In honor of the holiday season, we’re gifting you with the return of your favorites —  Man V. Food, Booze Traveler and Mysteries at the Museum. But that’s not all: we’re premiering new episodes of even more shows throughout the entire month of December.

Cue Mariah Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas” and get the details below.

New Seasons:

Man V. Food | Monday, Dec. 4 at 9|8c

Man — food enthusiast Casey Webb — returns to take on the greatest culinary challenges from coast to coast. This season, he faces foes like Boston’s notorious 4.5-pound Irish breakfast, the spiciest Buffalo wings in Seattle and a gargantuan 13-pound bagel sandwich in Philadelphia that would make even your most ravenous pal sweat. Will Casey be the reigning champ, or will he fall to food?

Booze Traveler | Monday, Dec. 18 at 11|10c

Jack Maxwell is back to drink you and your friends under the table in all new episodes of Booze Traveler. If his first pitch at Fenway Park is any indication (it was incredible, obviously), we’re swinging for the fences this time around. From water jousting in France to boating across Lake Como to chowing down on empanadas in Chile, the adventure’s just beginning for our favorite guy from South Boston.

Race to the Antartic: Mysteries at the Museum | Thursday, Dec. 28 at 9|8c

Don Wildman breaks out of the studio (again!) for an in-depth investigation into the legendary story of Sir Ernest Shackleton and his exploratory journey to the Antarctic, which turned into one of the most extraordinary survival stories of our time. But this ain’t your high school history class, of course. Don attempts to experience extreme terrain like Shackleton and his men did on that ill-fated expedition, and he finds out just how much willpower it must have taken to stay alive.

New Specials:

Guy’s Family Road Trip | Saturday, Dec. 9 at 3|2c

Hitch a ride on the most Fieri-tastic road trip EVER with host Guy Fieri. The Food Network star takes his family on an epic cross-country road trip in an RV that would rival any featured on Big Time RV. Final destination? Flavortown. (Just kidding. Probably.)

Best in Snow | Sunday, Dec. 31 at 9|8c

Team China s sculpture, called Mermaid, is one of the most challenging compositions so far.

We’ve all aspired to build a grand snow mansion in our backyard at one time or another, but some things are better left to the professionals. And these people are the professionals. Best in Snow shows off the most over-the-top snow sculptures in a countdown that will leave you dreaming of a winter wonderland.

Best in Ice | Sunday, Dec. 31 at 10|9c

Ice, ice baby. Like Best in Snow, the search is on for the best of the best in icy creations that would make even Elsa envious. (Let us know when we can move into that castle, okay? Thanks.)

And the following primetime favorites are still airing new episodes through this holiday season:
