Meet Shane Green

Host of Resort Rescue

Josh Hawkins

With over 20 years of experience consulting for the hotel and hospitality industry, Shane Green brings his expertise as host of Travel Channel’s new series "Resort Rescue." With the help of hidden cameras, he uncovers problems buried right under hotel owners' noses. Sitting in the control room, Green and the owners watch multiple camera feeds as he exposes bad customer service, out-of-control guests and dysfunctional employee-owner dynamics. In doing so, Green brings their problems to light, gives them an action-plan and checks in on their improvements.

As the Founder and President of SGEi, Green ensures that all projects consistently achieve the highest standards of excellence. He has a hand in every project SGEi works on to ensure each one exceeds expectations and meets deadlines.

Green’s SGEi client roster includes the most recognizable hotel brands in the world, as well as other luxury brands, including: BMW, the NBA, Christie’s Auction House, Cisco Systems, Siemens, NetJets, Inc., W Hotels, The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas and Hilton Chicago. In addition to serving these brands openly, Green has defined SGE as a source of discrete, professional consultations for companies that do not wish to receive training publicly.

From business openings to repositioning efforts, customized training sessions to keynote speeches, Green has established himself as an expert consultant in the hospitality industry, as well as in all modern luxury-facing businesses.

Green’s career has been distinguished by a series of consulting, speaking and cultural engagements that serve to enrich his clients’ companies with a modern, specialized approach to today’s workforce, as well as today’s consumer. Prior to founding SGE, Green worked for The Ritz-Carlton hotel group. This first-hand experience aids in his ability to develop highly-customized training and learning experiences for his clients. Green specializes in reaching millennial audiences and creating a modern luxury environment. His distinctive, multicultural background has created an ambiance of diversity and global thinking at SGE, which serves the interests of SGE’s multinational and international clients.

He received his Bachelor’s in Marketing and Business Psychology from Canterbury University in his native country, New Zealand.
