Each year, Americans flock to State Fairs around the country for the food, the rides and most of all, the competitions. It's a time when contestants throw their inhibitions to the wind and go wild in tests of strength, talent or the willingness to act more than a little wacky. State Fair contests are not just livestock beauty pageants anymore! You can race through an obstacle course in a homemade outhouse at the Iowa State Fair or smash your face into a cream puff to see who can scarf it down fastest in Wisconsin. How about cheering on your babies as they crawl their little hearts out in the diaper derby in Arizona or watch six year old wanna-be cowboys and girls ride bucking sheep in the mutton-bustin rodeo inColorado. In Texas folks cheer for their favorite pig racer in the porky 500 while Minnesotans prove how much milk they can chug or dress their llamas for a funny fashion contest. And that's only the beginning of America's state fair competitions.
