Istanbul Halal Meats

Continuing the tour down Sydney Road, Tony and Matt sample some cured meats at Istanbul Halal Meats. One of their specialties is Bastourma, a highly seasoned, air-dried cured beef.

Town Hall Kebab

The last stop along Sydney Road is a small outdoor eatery called Town Hall Kebab, where they serve lamb and chicken kebabs with fresh veggies, bread and lots of sauces.

The Alderman is a local bar situated next to Rumi, a Lebanese restaurant that Tony visits for dinner. There's a hole cut in the wall between the 2 joints, so that bar-goers can order food while waiting for a table.

A1 Lebanese Bakery

Tony and local food writer Matt Preston wander down Sydney Road in the Melbourne suburb of Brunswick. Their first stop on Sydney Road is A-1 Lebanese Bakery. Tony and Matt sample Lebanese pizza and bread filled with minced lamb.
