Soviet Submarine Base

Tony and Zamir visited this old Soviet Submarine Base. It has become a huge tourist attraction for the town of Balaklava, and although there are no actual submarines at the base they do have a gift shop.

Tony and Zamir enjoyed a seafood lunch at Tatyanin Mys, a restaurant right on the water. After snacking on red caviar, herring, squid and other delights, the two moved on to a bottle of vodka for dessert.

Khan's Palace

This Muslim Palace, which dates back to the 1500s, was the home to a succession of Crimean khans. Tony and Zamir wandered the grounds and toured the living quarters, the harem and the mosque.

The fast food industry is picking up in Kiev, so Zamir decided to take Tony to McFoxy. Located across the street from the central train station (and literally next door to a McDonald's), McFoxy is the Ukrainian version of the golden arches.
