Allison's biggest passion in life is the joy of hitting the open road. She has clocked more than 450 road trips throughout the US and along its back roads and she spent two years living in a fully restored, 26 ft. 1958 Airstream---her other love being vintage RVs! Her three Chihuahua rescue dogs are her favorite road trip companions and often accompany her on her adventures.
An award-winning shortform and documentary filmmaker, Allison has directed, filmed, and edited for Travel Channel, Lonely Planet, Outside Television, Outside magazine, and National Geographic Adventure Australia.
Prior to picking up a camera, Allison worked as a sportswriter who covered everything from Major League Baseball to the Badwater Ultramarathon in Death Valley.
She grew up in Vail, Colorado and graduated from Stanford University with a bachelor’s degree in Communications, a minor in Studio Art (Still Photography), and a master’s degree in Sociology. Allison is fluent in Spanish and Italian, and in her spare time she enjoys running and hiking with her dogs.
