Space Needle

Space Needle is a major landmark and the symbol of Seattle. It is 605 feet high and was built for the 1962 World's Fair. Don got exclusive access to the outer ring of the needle that locals call the 'halo'.

Stevens Pass Ski Area

Located at the crest of Stevens Pass, lies the Stevens Pass Ski area. The base elevation is at 4061 feet with the peak at 5845 feet. This was where Don and the crew begin their journey to the Cascade Tunnel on snowmobile.

The complex of locks are part of Seattle's Lake Washington ship canal designed to maintain the fresh water level. Don got an exclusive inside look into this engineering masterpiece and explored the pump plant and the emergency closure system.
