Located at the crest of Stevens Pass, lies the Stevens Pass Ski area. The base elevation is at 4061 feet with the peak at 5845 feet. This was where Don and the crew begin their journey to the Cascade Tunnel on snowmobile.

The complex of locks are part of Seattle's Lake Washington ship canal designed to maintain the fresh water level. Don got an exclusive inside look into this engineering masterpiece and explored the pump plant and the emergency closure system.

Lying deep down in the frigid waters are remains of the steamboats that once shuttled Seattleites across Puget Sound. Don dove into the freezing water to explore the remains of the SS Burton.
