Border Field State Park
Border Field State Park is located at the southwesternmost point of the contiguous United States, with Mexico and the Pacific Ocean as its southern and western borders.

Located in San Diego’s Barrio Logan neighborhood, this park is home to the largest collection of outdoor murals in the US. Andrew spoke with local muralists here while listening to the Grammy Award-winning band La Santa Cecilia rehearse.

Tacos Kokopelli is a gourmet taco street-stand run by graduates of the Culinary Art School in Tijuana. One specialty is the Kraken taco, consisting of pesto-marinated grilled octopus in an Anaheim chile filled with cheese and topped with avocado.

Located at the California-Mexico border, the Tijuana Estuary is home to 370 species of migratory and native birds. In Mexico, Andrew visits Alter Terra, a nonprofit dedicated to protecting the estuary through local community initiatives.
