Whether you're seeking a new business venture, a roomy abode in which you can self-quarantine and ride out the pandemic or both, Watson Realty Corp - Tioga has the opportunity of a lifetime for you. The former Gilchrist County (Florida) jail is on the market and is yours for $139,990. The jail actively housed inmates from 1928 until 1968, and now reportedly houses restless spirits, with paranormal activity ranging from the visible to the "AUDIBLE." The property is listed as having 8 rooms, each with its own "bath" with a home/living addition built two years before the jail ceased its earthly operations. Because of inadequate supervision (from what we can tell from the description) inmates were left to mete out their own justice, with the jail being the scene of "years of grisly stand offs, killings and much more." Warning: you'll go to a very dark place if you try to imagine what "much more" involves.

Located about 30 miles west of Gainesville, this paranormal pokey is claimed to be the only decommissioned, certifiably (by whom?) haunted jail in the state of Florida, and has attracted the curious from around the world and is host to ghost tours and ghost club meetings.
