Carhenge, a replica of England's Stonehenge, features 39 vintage American cars planted in the ground or stacked upon each other and positioned in a circle. It's located near the city of Alliance, Nebraska.

Two places are famous for giant balls of twine. Cawker City, Kansas, boasts the largest overall, while Darwin, Minnesota has the largest ball of twine rolled by one man.

Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, has an abundance of roadside attractions such as the Titanic museum, the Dixie Stampede dinner theater, and the upside-down WonderWorks interactive adventure center.

Weeki Wachee, Florida, is home to the world's only underwater mermaid cabaret. Since 1947, young women have performed in this underwater theater built into the springs.
