Ford Atlas Concept

At the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, Ford Motor Company unveiled the Atlas concept truck, which allowed people to get their first glimpse at the future of the F-Series pickup line. Approximately 6,000 members of the media from 68 countries will attend the show this year. The auto show is open to the public from Saturday, Jan. 19 through Sunday, Jan. 27.

Bentley Continental GT

Reach 60 mph in only 4.1 seconds thanks to the extra 16-horsepower torque engine in the new Bentley Continental GT speed convertible. In addition to improved gas mileage, this Bentley’s upgraded infotainment system provides more points of interest, optional satellite landscape imagery and live traffic data.

Chevrolet Corvette Stingray

For the first time in 9 years, Chevrolet has revamped its Corvette Stingray. The controversial new design has created some buzz among car connoisseurs. The Corvette’s signature round taillights have been replaced with square lights that lean away from the center.

BMW 4 Series i3 Coupe

BMW unveiled its concept sports car, the i3 Coupe, at the auto show. The automaker claims that this is the first car to be part of the world’s first all-electric series. And to appeal more to the sports car market, BMW has made the car wider with a flowing design seen from the grill, along the window line and across the rear.

Ford Focus

Charge it up and go! The Ford Focus electric car comes equipped with a home charging unit.

Hyundai HCD-14 Genesis

The Korean carmaker Hyundai is trying to expand its reach into the luxury car market with Hyundai HCD-14 Genesis. The car’s eye-tracking feature allows the driver to select a function with a single glance, while the 3D system allows the driver to use minimal gestures to make their selection. Perfect for keeping the driver less distracted during a fun road trip.

Mercedes-Benz Showroom

Mercedes-Benz, like most big automakers, has its own section at the Detroit auto show. Some of the new cars on display include the Mercedes-Benz SL550, E 63 AMG and CLA 200.

Tesla Model X Concept SUV

Franz Von Holzhausen, chief designer for Tesla, talks about the Model X family SUV/minivan prototype with rear gull-wing doors to give passengers more room to move around in the center row and to add ease when removing groceries or setting up a child seat.

Ford Showroom

Ford Motor Company displays their latest cars, trucks and SUVs for the thousands of spectators expected to converge on Joe Louis Arena for the auto show.

Porsche Cayman

An auto aficionado photographs a 2014 Porsche Cayman. New features include adaptive cruise control, automatic braking to avoid collisions and a 12-speaker, 800-watt Burmester audio system. It is also the first Porsche to offer push-button start.

Nissan Resonance

Dr. Andy Palmer, Executive Vice President of the Nissan Motor Company, unveils the new Nissan Resonance concept hybrid-electric vehicle at the auto show.

Acura NSX

An upgrade from the 2012 concept model, the Acura NSX is now a step closer to production in 2015. The updated 2-seat, hybrid coupe features a mid-mounted V6 engine that is being developed in the US where it will also be built.

Tesla Model S

At the 2013 NAIAS, auto enthusiasts will be able to get an inside view of the comfy, rear-facing seats in the new Tesla Model S.
