The royal couple traveled to India for their honeymoon. Upon arrival, they embarked on a luxury train journey across Rajasthan, making stops in Jaipur, Jodhpur and Udaipur.

Frederik, Crown Prince of Denmark, met Australian-born Mary Donaldson at a pub in Sydney while he was in town for the Summer Olympic Games in 2000. The couple married in 2004 in Copenhagen Cathedral and have four children.

The couple departed for their honeymoon the evening of their wedding, taking flight for Africa, one of a few destinations where Prince Frederik said they could "be ourselves." The newlyweds traveled to Tanzania for a three-week photo safari. It’s believed that they even scaled Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest mountain, while on honeymoon in Tanzania.
