Kwin Mosby

Kwin Mosby has more than 25 years of experience in the media industry. In addition to previously working for TravelChannel.com as an online producer for 8 years, he has served as a TV news reporter/producer at KBJR-TV in Duluth, MN; a freelance writer for Lavender Magazine; a copy coordinator at WCCO-AM; an associate producer at KSTP-TV in Minneapolis-St. Paul; and an associate producer for BBC’s Washington, DC, bureau.

Before becoming a managing producer for TravelChannel.com, Kwin produced TV show websites, including those for Bizarre Foods with Andrew Zimmern and Most Haunted, a series that followed a group of paranormal experts on a quest to uncover the truth about some of the world’s spookiest destinations. He also managed a 7-hour, interactive Most Haunted Live investigation at Eastern State Penitentiary in 2008 and the paranormal investigation of Winchester House in 2009. For both years, the website received the Cablefax Program Award for best online/mobile extras for a linear show.

At Travel Channel, Kwin managed the destination and interest content on TravelChannel.com, including Travel's Best, Top Hotels, Outdoors and Adventure, Cruises and LGBT Travel. His role as managing producer required him and his team to monitor the latest travel news and hot travel trends to keep the website and the Traveling Type blog relevant. He managed content partnerships with internal brands (e.g., HGTV.com, FoodNetwork.com and GACTV.com), as well as managed and or executed external partnerships with convention and visitor bureaus and other travel brands such as Travel + Leisure, ShermansTravel and Oyster.com.

Kwin also hosted the What to Do In … video series, which provided travelers with the best places to travel each month for festivals, sports events and more.

When he’s not working, Kwin enjoys relaxing beach locations, cultural urban epicenters and prime destinations for outdoors enthusiasts, such as Barcelona, Brazil, Costa Rica, London, Montreal, New York City, Paris, San Francisco, Santorini and Fort Lauderdale, FL. His favorite travel moment was hang gliding off Pedra Bonita in Rio de Janeiro.
