Travel Channel interviews medium Amy Allan and retired NYPD homicide detective Steve Di Schiavi, on The Dead Files. Learn more about this unique paranomal investigative team.
Paranormal researcher and physical medium Amy Allan works with retired homicide detective Steve DiSchiavi on The Dead Files to help people who believe paranormal activity is ruining their lives.
In this series, Amy uses her abilities to communicate with the dead, listening to their stories and reliving their deaths, while Steve uses his years of detective experience to search for physical evidence.
Amy's interest in paranormal phenomena began when she was just four-years old. At that time she says she was tormented by “shadow people” in her Arvada, CO, home. She was too young to understand what was happening but would later come to realize that she had the gift- or curse- of communicating with the dead. Since then, she's been on a journey to unravel the mysteries of “the other side.”
Amy’s abilities have been studied and tested by leading para-psychologists. She has worked with private investigators and police agencies and has conducted more than 350 investigations in both private homes and businesses.
Amy studied psychology at the University of Arizona and was mentored by world-renowned para-psychologist William Roll.
She lives near Los Angeles.
