Season 2, Episode 9

Complete RV Overhaul

Entrepreneurs Thomas and Beverly Brown are ready to settle into retirement and live their dream of traveling to all fifty states. Lazydays RV expert Mark Young sold the couple their fifth wheel, and with the $50,000 trade in value, the Browns have a budget of $650,000. On the lot in Tampa, Mark takes them to see the $647,000 Monaco Dynasty. Beverly and Thomas instantly feel at home inside the coach, and they love the color scheme, the sleek design of the kitchen and the massive shower. But Thomas isn't happy about having to manually adjust the extended leather sofa. Next the Browns look at the Entegra Coach Cornerstone priced at $625,000. Thomas loves the dark interior design and thinks the Entegra looks like their home, but Beverly still prefers the Dynasty. Across the lot, Barbie Newman and Ronnie Hacker drive their La Palma Monaco to the Service Center so that Lazydays Technicians Edwin Garcia and Joe Farlow can repair their slide. They suspect water damage as the reason for the electronic slide being stuck, but they need Edwin and Joe to inspect how far the damage has spread. The Techs use custom-built cradles to remove the 16-foot, 800lb slide from the coach and discover water-damaged, rotted wood inside the slide floor. Luckily, the water damage hasn't spread to the subfloor, so the repair job will only cost $3,000. Edwin and Joe meld plywood, fiberglass and carpet together to build a new slide floor and re-install the slide to the coach. Trenton Jackson, Courtney Bentz and Harrison Frawley are looking for an RV to shuttle customers to and from excursions for their rock-climbing business. They want an attention-grabbing design but also need it to serve as a restroom and compact kitchen when they're out in the wilderness. They head to Lazydays in Tucson and meet with RV expert Steven Spears to see what they can get with their $140,000 budget. First, Steven takes them to see the Born Free Freedom, priced at $138,000. But Trenton can't fully stand up in the shower, so Steven takes the group to see the $121,000 Airstream Interstate. Harrison likes the kitchen area with extendable countertop, and Courtney and Trenton like the comfortable pull down sleeping area in back. Back in Tampa, Thomas and Beverly Brown don't see eye to eye on whether to splurge on the Monaco Dynasty or Cornerstone Entegra. But Thomas has a hard time resisting Beverly's charm, so they pick her favorite, the Monaco Dynasty, as the coach to start the trip of a lifetime. When Barbie Newman and Ronnie Hacker arrive back at the Service Center to inspect their RV, they can't even tell there was anything wrong with the slide. Edwin and Joe did a great job, and the couple is happy to have their coach back and fully functional without any issues. After Steven takes Trenton, Courtney and Harrison to see the outdoor shower on the Airstream Interstate, the RV is the clear winner. The crew takes a group of friends into the desert to test out their new company vehicle.
