In the four-hour live event Haunted Salem: Live, hosts from four of Travel Channel’s supernatural series − Portals to Hell, Kindred Spirits, Ghost Brothers: Haunted Houseguests and The Holzer Files – come together to form a dream-team of supernatural sleuths. Together, the team will put their collective talents to work endeavoring to unravel the mysteries and unearth the roots of evil in what is reputed to be one of the world’s most haunted towns.

The special event, premiering Friday, October 4 at 8|7c, will be broadcast at the same time in east and west time zones, and exclusive behind the scene investigations will be streamed live on Travel Channel’s Facebook page. Six live on-location video feeds will run on Travel Channel’s Facebook Live feed. Eagle-eyed viewers can comment on any findings and activity they spot in real time, participating in the hunt and helping direct the team where to investigate next, along with digital host James B. McDaniel. Fans can join the investigation on Twitter using #HauntedSalemLive, where Travel Channel will be live-tweeting all of the action and showcasing fan tweets on live TV!

Leading the hunt will be Katrina Weidman and Jack Osbourne from Portals to Hell; Amy Bruni, Adam Berry and Chip Coffey from Kindred Spirits; Dalen Spratt, Juwan Mass and Marcus Harvey from Ghost Brothers: Haunted Houseguests; and Dave Schrader and Cindy Kaza from The Holzer Files.

The group will split up and investigate three of Salem’s most haunted locations, all of which played a pivotal role in the Salem Witch Trials. To wit: The Ipswich Jail is where prisoners condemned to die for practicing witchcraft were held. The Proctor House was the home of John and Elizabeth Proctor, two of the trials most well-known victims. Rockafellas, was the site of the original meeting house where over 150 people, including farmer Giles Corey, were accused and ordered to stand trial for practicing witchcraft. A legend persists that Corey cursed the entire town after being accused, and it seems that curse has created a lasting legacy in the community.

Fans are encouraged to participate in the hunt by watching the live feed and comment on any phenomenon they see. Your comments can assist the investigation, influence where they go next, and help discover the source of Salem’s infamous paranormal activity.
