6 New Shows Coming To Travel Channel This Year

A lot to look forward to!

April 10, 2019

Code of the Wild

Brothers Casey and Chris Keefer are many things: outdoorsmen, survivalists, gingers — just to name a few. They’re also the stars of the brand-new series, Code of the Wild, where they go on a mission to solve mysteries in some of the world’s most treacherous corners. While these locations are inaccessible to most, Chris and Casey have the experience and skills to enter these dark recesses in the hopes of finally putting long-lost mysteries to rest.

Relic Hunter (working title)

As a veteran appraiser and conservator of artifacts, Timothy Smith knows a thing or two about relic hunting. This thrill-seeking series will follow Smith as he traverses the globe, hunting down rare artifacts of myth and legend. Using his much sought-after skills, Smith will unlock secrets behind relics that have captured the imaginations of many.

Witches of Salem (wt)

Kicking off Travel Channel’s annual Halloween-month programming event, “Ghostober,” Witches of Salem tells the real-life story of the Salem witch trials. Reports of possession by the devil, mass arrests, and sensational trials that culminated in public hangings were just some of the daily events that overtook the affluent New England community. This four-part docu-drama covers the rapid descent of a town into madness, capturing the hysteria that unfolded in the early 1690s.

Ripley’s Believe It or Not!

Mind-boggling, awe-inspiring talents, bizarre objects, strange phenomena and unusual feats are explored in the reboot of the iconic series. Hosted by actor Bruce Campbell, the series is inspired by Robert Ripley’s obsession with the awesome and strange. Seventy years after Ripley hosted the first eponymous series, we still can’t resist his challenge to, “Believe it, or not!” Ripley's Believe It or Not! is expected to premiere in Summer 2019.

Ghost Nation (wt)

The trio formerly of “Ghost Hunters,” return to television by popular demand for all-new explorations of the other side. Each week, Jason Hawes, Steve Gonsalves and Dave Tang will rally their troops and scout out the most intriguing cases that need their expertise. Armed with state-of-the-art technology, they will attempt to uncover paranormal evidence like never before, while also debunking false claims. The team will also endeavor to track down the true source of these hauntings and restore peace and order among the living — and the dead.

Shadows of History (wt) with Robert Englund

America’s past teems with bizarre, mysterious stories that seem too incredible to be true — yet are documented in the archives of the nation’s newspapers. Click here for more on this new show hosted by the actor who played Freddy Krueger.
