Robert Englund to Host New Series 'Shadows of History'

The legendary actor and horror movie icon brings his talents to an all-new series.

Freddy Krueger — erm, Robert Englund — is officially coming to Travel Channel. The legendary actor is bringing thrills and chills to television with his new series, Shadows of History.

Can fact be stranger than fiction? Join Englund as he revisits the most frightening, peculiar and spine-tingling stories that made headlines in the American press. Each one-hour episode will be filled with tales that seem too bizarre to be believed.

“How can you make fascinating and petrifying stories even more scary? Add the genius of Robert Englund,” Jane Latman, general manager, Travel Channel, says. “As if tales of flying monsters, zombie cannibals and ghost ships were not enough, we are cranking up the volume for maximum impact. And our fans are going to go nuts for this legendary actor.”

Stay tuned for more details on when the horror icon will make his Travel Channel debut, but until then, we’ll be binging all the A Nightmare on Elm Street movies.
