Personalized radio stations, for whatever mood you're in.

Why we like it -- Type the name of an artist or song into Last.fm’s search box, and the app instantly creates a radio station with similar songs and artists. As you listen and indicate your preferences by skipping songs or artists, the app improves its recommendations. If you don’t have an MP3 player filled with your favorite songs, it’s a great way to get a dose of your own music while on the road.

The app is great at uncovering information on obscure bands and pointing you in the direction of musicians you’d otherwise overlook. It’s also smart enough to stop playing when the headphones are unplugged, among other nice touches.

Improvements we'd like to see -- Unlike competing services like Slacker, you can’t listen to stations when you’re offline, and the app can be slow at times to load songs.
