If you prefer the breathability and comfort of cotton and linen clothing like I do, but hate the way these fabrics travel, an in-room iron and ironing board can be a travel lifesaver. But when an iron isn’t provided or you are traveling abroad, the tiny OVO 150GT combination steamer-meets-iron is a sartorial lifesaver.

At only 4x7 inches (plus a water cup for filling the iron, but you don’t necessarily need to tote that part along) this—frankly, adorable—iron is the size of an ostrich egg (thus the name OVO). To use it, you can lay a garment flat or hang it and steam continuously for up to 10 minutes. That was enough time for me to dewrinkle several shirts, making quick work of two very creased, very slovenly 100-percent linen tunics. The device pulled out all of the folds and wrinkles after just a few good passes. It also fits perfectly in the palm of your hand. In a hurry? The OVO heats up in just a minute.

I anticipate this baby being a constant travel companion. And because it's so small and easy to use without the need for an ironing board, I may just employ it—lazy ironer alert—for my day-to-day dewrinkling needs too. It'd also be great for dorm rooms or anywhere that doesn't accommodate a full-sized iron and board.
