A few places on her travel bucket list: French Polynesia, the Galapagos, Antarctica, the Grand Canyon, Namibia, Vietnam, India and San Miguel de Allende, Mexico.

Yolanda earned a bachelor of arts from Rice University and a masters in environmental science and management from the University of California, Santa Barbara, where she did her thesis research in Big Sur -- by her book, one of the most romantic spots in the US.
