Give yourself a fascinating astronomy lesson.

Why we like it -- OK, so travelers don't need this app. But if you're stuck in an unfamiliar place with nothing to do, or if you'd like to strike up a conversation with a stranger, this is a great app for the task. Point the app skyward, and it labels every celestial body within sight -- and even those far beyond what you could see with the naked eye. You can also toggle the app to show what the sky looked like on specific days in history, or how it will look in the future.

Improvements we'd like to see -- As good as it is, Star Walk's interface can be slightly confusing at times. BlackBerry and Android versions would also be a great improvement. For now, though, Android users can find similar functionality through Google's free Sky Map app.
